Get Ready for Sunday: Cultivating Christlike Relationships

This Week at Northbrook: Feb. 21

How do you handle relationships when things get messy? Whether it’s a difficult conversation, a moment of frustration, or simply learning to love others well, relationships take wisdom—and wisdom comes from Christ.

This Sunday, we’ll be in Colossians 3:12-17, where Paul reminds us that if we’re in Christ, we should put on His character—compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. The love of Christ binds it all together, shaping how we treat one another. When we let the peace of Christ rule in our hearts and the word of Christ dwell in us, our relationships reflect the transforming power of Jesus.

As you prepare for Sunday, take a few moments to read through the entire letter of Colossians, paying special attention to our focal passage (3:12-17). Then, reflect on this: Are my relationships shaped by Christ’s character or my own preferences? Let’s come ready to grow in relational wisdom together!

Looking forward to worshiping with you!
