This Week at Northbrook: Jan. 31 - Let's explore the purpose of transformation

Have you ever wondered what real transformation looks like? More than simple self-improvement; God’s plan is to make Christ known in and through you.

This Sunday, Pastor Keith will continue our sermon series: Changed in Colossians 1:24-29, where Paul shows us that a life changed by Jesus is a life that reveals Jesus. As we grow in Christ, we don’t just receive the gospel—we become megaphones of it, bearing witness of it's power and source, namely, Jesus! That means embracing joyful sacrifice, serving the mission of the church, and striving in the strength and wisdom of Christ to make Him known.

Take a moment to ask yourself: Who in my life needs to see Christ in me today? Let’s prepare our hearts to hear how God wants to use us to bring the hope of glory to those around us.

Children’s Minister Candidate Recommendation

On Sunday, members of Northbrook will vote to call Katie Bentley as our next Children’s Minster. After the worship service, you will find your ballot at the designated tables in the Atrium.
 

New Off-campus Life Groups Kick-off February 16!

Interested in trying one out? We have two new groups starting Feb. 16.

  • Dan and Jamie Odle's group will meet on Sundays from 4-6pm in the Vinemont area (location coming soon)

  • Wayne and Robin Cook's group will also meet on Sundays from 5-7pm at Todd and Anna McEvoy's home

Introducing: EXPEDITION! A new midweek adventure for Kids

We’re thrilled to introduce Expedition, our new midweek program for kids! This six-week adventure starts February 5 and gives kids the chance to grow in their walk with Jesus while exploring their God-given interests. Kids in K-4th grade can choose from three exciting tracks:

  1. God and Science: Discovering God’s good creation

  2. Jesus and the World: Missions Expedition Track

  3. Art Studio: Creatively memorizing God’s Word

Space is limited in each track, so register soon! Expedition is free, but you can purchase an optional Northbrook Kids Expedition backpack for $15 at registration. Kids will earn a patch for their backpack after completing each six-week track. We can’t wait to kick off Expedition on February 5—see you there!

Discover Northbrook at True North  |  March 2, 9, and 16

True North is the place to learn more about the life, mission, and ministry of Northbrook. The first two weeks include sessions about Northbrook, followed by True North Connect in the third week—an opportunity to visit a Life Group and experience community firsthand. Here’s the schedule:
