How does a member of the Northbrook Family nominate someone for the Deacon ministry?

"Brothers and sisters, select from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Spirit and wisdom, whom we can appoint to this duty." (Acts 6:3 CSB)

First, consider the biblical qualifications for being a Deacon.

1. The Deacon.

Deacons, likewise, should be worthy of respect, not hypocritical, not drinking a lot of wine, not greedy for money, holding the mystery of the faith with a clear conscience. They must also be tested first; if they prove blameless, then they can serve as deacons. (1 Timothy 3:8-10 CSB). I believe this man (these men) strives to be a man of high character; this man speaks the truth, this man exercises self-control, this man's lifestyle is consistent with what the Bible teaches, and this man has a good reputation.

2. The Deacon's Wife.

Wives, too, must be worthy of respect, not slanderers, self-controlled, faithful in everything. (1 Timothy 3:11 CSB). I believe this man's wife strives to be a woman of high character, this man's wife does not gossip, this man's wife exercises self-control, and this man's wife lives by what the Bible teaches.

3. The Deacon's marriage.

Deacons are to be husbands of one wife, (1 Timothy 3:12a CSB). I believe this man is faithful to his wife and to his marriage vows.

4. The Deacon's family.

…managing their children and their own households competently. (1 Timothy 3:12b CSB)I believe this man is the leader of his home according to God's Word.

Second, consider the other qualifications for being a Deacon at Northbrook Baptist Church (NBC).

I believe that this man (and his family) has been an active member of NBC for at least one year, is at least 21 years old or older), regularly attends the worship services at NBC, is involved in discipleship at NBC, gives his (their) tithes / offerings to NBC, agrees with NBC's mission statement, is committed to help guard the unity and spirit of harmony among our leaders and people, would settle any and all issues biblically and peacefully, does not discuss information that should be kept in confidence, supports the various programs and ministries of NBC, will do his part in the Deacon Family ministry, will continue to live "beyond reproach" and without compromising the witness of NBC.
